Why Toronto?

Toronto, a unique blend of urban sophistication and natural beauty.

Toronto is a vibrant and diverse city, often recognized as Canada's cultural and financial capital. Known for its iconic skyline featuring the CN Tower, Toronto is a hub of arts, entertainment, and global cuisine, reflecting the multicultural fabric of its residents. The city is also famous for its thriving tech industry, world-class universities, and being a center for major events like the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). With its rich history, dynamic neighborhoods, and proximity to natural wonders like Niagara Falls.

Toronto's highways are a crucial part of the city's transportation network, connecting its bustling urban core with surrounding suburbs and regions. The city is served by major expressways like the 401, one of the busiest highways in North America, and the Gardiner Expressway, which offers scenic views of the downtown skyline and Lake Ontario. These highways are essential for commuting, facilitating the movement of goods and people across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Despite their importance, they are often associated with heavy traffic, making congestion a common challenge for daily commuters.

CAFÉS

My favorite cafés in Toronto

Cafe Landwer

165 University Avenue

What I like about it

This is one of the best brunch spots in Toronto! but if you go at any time of day there will be something delicious on the menu! A popular spot for university students.

Fahrenheit Coffee

Specialty coffee drinks made with house-roasted beans are poured, plus light fare & baked goods.

Address:

What I like about it

It's tiny! Not always easy to get a seat but it's such a cozy little place, the coffee is always tasty and the staff are so friendly.

FIKA Cafe

Art adorned, Sweden-inspired spot featuring pastries & ready-made sandwiches, plus a back garden.

What I like about it

It's small but very cozy and homey. It's actually built inside of a townhouse and just feels like home.
